Dear Sir/Madam,
We are a HIV/AIDS Charity serving the County of Kent. Our work is based upon the ethos of Self Help, we provide support, Advocacy and Information to the People of Kent who are living with or affected by HIV or AIDS. Also we provide Information and Support (when needed) to the general public of Kent; this could take many forms, Training, Information or just face to face talking. Pos+LINE KENT is a free phone dedicated HIV/AIDS helpline and for the use of everyone.
We have been a Charitable company for nearly two years, and our work is ever increasing.
We are contacting companies across Kent in the hope that they could help us to fund a Part Time Development Worker. This worker would develop current and future projects of BodyPositive KENT Ltd., as well as seeking their own funding contract to continue in the post.
We hope to raise £10'000 by April 1st 1998, and we are asking for donations to this for as much or as little as your company can afford.
PLEASE do not dismiss this communication or project straight away, we hope to assure you that this position is needed as the work is currently being undertook by volunteers, some of whom are HIV+ve, it is becoming difficult to keep up with the work.
If the donation does not come straight from the funds of your company, maybe an office collection might be a good idea, or pay us to give a training session to your staff on HIV Awareness, Maybe you have your own ideas! And of course to give or not to give is your choice.
